What a campaign is
A campaign is a challenge that runs between two dates. You define check points (milestones) along a track and a reward at each one. As the customer's progress number goes up, they hit the check points and collect the rewards.
Example: a Point Earned campaign with check points at 100, 250 and 500 points, paying 50 / 100 / 250 bonus points. On their rewards page the customer sees a progress badge like "1/3 Completed".
The campaign types
The type decides what counts as progress. Four are available:
| Type | Progress is measured by | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Point Balance | The customer's current points balance. | "Reach 1000 points and unlock a bonus." |
| Point Earned | Total points ever earned. | Long-run ladders that don't reset when customers spend. |
| Authenticator Scan | Number of verified product scans. | Getting people to scan the code on your physical products. |
| Referral | Number of friends referred. | Word-of-mouth pushes. |
Two things change depending on the type you pick:
- Authenticator Scan campaigns unlock the constraints section, letting you limit the campaign to specific brands, products, categories, strains or sizes. They also number their check points automatically.
- Point Balance / Point Earned campaigns suggest check points in steps of 100. Authenticator Scan / Referral suggest steps of 1.
Pick the type first
The type changes the rest of the form — which fields appear and what numbers are suggested. Choose it before you fill anything else in.
Every campaign option explained
| # | Field | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Activate campaign | The on/off switch. Off = nobody makes progress on it. |
| 2 | Campaign Type | See above. Required. |
| 3 | Name | The campaign title customers see. Required. |
| 4 | Description | The one-liner under the name on the customer's rewards page. Required. |
| — | Loyalty Tags | Labels and badges for the campaign — see Labels, tags & badges. |
| 5 | Start Date | Date and time the campaign opens. Required. |
| 6 | End Date | Date and time it closes. Required. |
| 7 | FAQs | Extra information text for the campaign. |
| 8 | Visible to your customers | Off = the campaign runs silently in the background without appearing on the customer dashboard. Handy for something like a birthday bonus you don't want to advertise. |
| 9 | Linear progress | On = check points must be hit in order, one after another. Off = any order. |
| 10 | Reset when customers complete it | On = when someone finishes the whole campaign it restarts from zero for them. A repeating campaign. |
| 11 | Infinite Claim | On = no cap on how many times rewards can be claimed. |
| 12 | Auto claim | On = rewards land in the customer's account automatically. Off = the customer must press Redeem on each milestone themselves. |
| 13 | Add check points | The milestones. At least one is required — the campaign won't save without it. |
Check points
Click + Add check points to open the step window. Each step is one milestone.
| Field | What it means |
|---|---|
| Label | The milestone's name, shown in the customer's Milestones list, e.g. "First scan". |
| Check Point | The number the customer must reach for this step. Greyed out for Authenticator Scan campaigns — the app numbers those steps by position instead. |
| Progress Count | (Only for the greyed-out types) How many times the same item counts. Default is 1. Raise it to show a customer they've claimed the same collectible several times. |
| Reward Type | What they get: No Reward, Point or Point x3. See below. |
| Points / Multiplier | The value for the reward type you chose. |
| Minimum Bag Amount / Minimum Bag Item | Order-value and item-count conditions, shown for order-based campaigns. |
| Link | An optional URL attached to the milestone. |
| Description | Optional detail text for the milestone. |
| Image | Web address of the picture shown for this step. |
| Locked Image | Web address of the picture shown before the step is claimed — the "mystery" art that gets revealed. |
| Constraints | Authenticator Scan only — see Constraints. |
The three step reward types
| Type | What it does |
|---|---|
| No Reward | A milestone with no payout. Useful as a marker on the track. |
| Point | A flat number of points. |
| Point x3 | A points multiplier. |
Press Save in the step window to add it. Steps appear as cards in a two-column list, each with a pencil (edit) and a bin (delete). Deleting a step from an already-saved campaign removes it immediately.
Check point rules
Each step must start where the previous one ended, and its check point must be higher than its start. The app pre-fills sensible numbers for you.
If you see "Start range should be less than X" or "Check point should be greater than start value", you've left a gap or overlapped the previous step. Fix the numbers so they run continuously: 0→100, 100→250, 250→500.
Constraints
Only shown for Authenticator Scan campaigns. They narrow the campaign to particular stock, so only scans of those items count.
Five multi-selects: Brands, Products, Categories, Strain, Size.
Each one works the same way: click it, search if the list is long, tick your choices, press Apply. Your picks show as green chips underneath. Clear removes them all, and each chip has its own ×.
How to set up a campaign
- Go to Campaigns → + Create Campaign.
- Leave Activate campaign on, or turn it off if you're drafting.
- Choose the Campaign Type. Do this first.
- Enter the Name and Description.
- Add Loyalty Tags if you want it grouped or badged.
- Set the Start and End date and time.
- Optionally write the FAQs text.
- Set the switches: customer-visible, linear, reset on complete, infinite claim, auto claim.
- Click + Add check points and build your first milestone — label, check point, reward type, value, and any image or link. Save.
- Repeat for every milestone. For Authenticator Scan campaigns, set your constraints inside the step window.
- Click Save campaign.
You'll see "Loyalty campaign created successfully" and land back on the Campaigns list.
"Please add atleast one range"
That message means you pressed Save with no check points. A campaign needs at least one milestone.
To edit: Campaigns list → pencil icon. To delete: bin icon → Yes.

Common questions
What's the difference between "Active" and "Customer Facing"?Active controls whether the campaign runs at all. Customer Facing controls whether customers can see it. A campaign that's active but not customer-facing keeps awarding points quietly in the background.
Linear or non-linear? Linear suits a story-like progression ("bronze → silver → gold badge"). Non-linear suits a collection where any order is fine.
Auto claim on or off? On is simpler for customers and means fewer complaints about unclaimed rewards. Off creates a moment of engagement — they must come back and press Redeem, which is good if you want repeat visits to the rewards page.
How do I make a campaign appear under "Spend Points" instead of "Earn Points"? Give it a loyalty tag with the name ways_to_spend. See Labels, tags & badges.
