Plans & billing

The Plans page has three parts, top to bottom: your subscription options, any one-time purchases, and your purchase history.

Subscription plans

Each plan is a card showing its name, description, price, billing period (monthly, yearly or one-time) and its popular features. The Essential plan carries a Recommended badge, and the plan you're currently on is outlined and highlighted.

The button on each card changes to match what clicking it would actually do:

Button on the cardWhat it means
SubscribeYou're on the free plan and this is a paid one. Confirm, then approve the charge on Shopify.
UpgradeYou're on a paid plan and this one costs more. Your subscription is replaced.
DowngradeYou're on a paid plan and this one costs less. Your subscription is replaced.
Switch to FreeMoves you from a paid plan down to the free plan.
Cancel subscriptionShown on the paid plan you're currently on. Cancels it and moves you to Free.
Buy NowA one-time purchase rather than a subscription.
Current Plan (greyed out)You're on the free plan already — nothing to do.

If the app can't find an active subscription, it treats you as being on the free $0 plan.

Changing plans

Every change opens a confirmation pop-up that spells out exactly what will happen before anything is charged:

ActionWhat the pop-up tells you
Change your plan (upgrade or downgrade)"Your current subscription will be replaced and you'll be redirected to Shopify to approve the new charge."
Switch to the Free plan"Your paid subscription will be cancelled and you'll keep using Batch on the Free plan. You can upgrade again at any time."
Cancel Subscription"You'll move to the Free plan and keep access to its features."
Subscribe to plan"You'll be redirected to Shopify to approve the charge."

Approve the charge on the Shopify screen that opens. If you don't complete the approval, the change doesn't take effect.

Downgrading doesn't lock you out

Moving to the free plan keeps your account and your data — you keep using Batch Rewards with the free plan's features, and you can upgrade again whenever you want.

Charges are always approved on Shopify

Batch Rewards never takes payment details. Every subscription and purchase is approved on Shopify's own billing page and appears on your regular Shopify invoice.

One-time purchases

Listed under One-Time Purchases below the subscriptions. These are single payments rather than recurring ones — press Buy Now and confirm. You'll see "Purchase successful!" or be sent to Shopify to pay.

Purchase history

A table of every billing event with:

ColumnMeaning
DateWhen it happened.
PlanWhich plan it relates to.
StatusThe state after the event — "active" shows as a green badge.
AmountWhat was charged.

If nothing has been billed yet you'll see "No purchase history".

Cancelling

Click Cancel on your current plan and confirm. You'll see "Subscription cancelled successfully!" and the page refreshes to show you back on the free plan.
