Bulk Update

The Bulk Update screen takes a group of products and writes the same set of field values to every one of them. Fill in only the fields you want to change, review the summary, and one update is applied across the whole selection.

Use it for uniform changes — a price rise on a category, a tag added to a range, a shared description. For different values per product (or to add products), use the CSV Bulk import.

What You Can Do With It

Update a group of products

On the Products page, tick the products you want, then open ⋯ → Bulk Update. On the Bulk Update screen you can refine the selection — search, apply filters, or Select All Products — and remove individual products from the final summary before saving.

Config: editable fields are Brand, Tags, Category, Sub-Category, Cost Price, Retail Price, Wholesale Price, Description, an Available toggle, and product images. If your brand has loyalty enabled, Cost Point Value and Redeem Point Value also appear. Only fields you actually touch are sent; everything left blank is untouched on the products. Category and Sub-Category must already exist.

Confirm before it writes

Saving opens a Summary modal listing the products in scope and the modified values. Removing a product here drops it from the update. Confirming writes the change to each product in turn.

No dry-run, partial success

Unlike the CSV import, there is no validation pass. Each product is updated in its own transaction — if one fails the others still change, and there is no undo. Check the summary carefully.

Behaviour

  • Same value everywhere. The confirmed field set is applied identically to every product in the selection. This screen cannot set per-product values.
  • Images append, they don't replace. An image added here is inserted onto each product on top of its existing gallery, not swapped in.
  • Changing category doesn't remap attributes. Only the category and sub-category names are rewritten; existing attributes stay as they are.
  • Tags overwrite. The tag field replaces the whole tag string on each product rather than merging.
  • Starting point. The Bulk Update menu item is only enabled once you have selected at least one product on the Products list.

Hub stock and pricing

Per-hub inventory, sale price and room assignment are not part of this screen. See Inventory management.
