Points and Rewards
Loyalty is part of the storefront rather than a separate site. Points accumulate as a shopper uses the store, and turn into things worth having.
What you can do with it
Earn points
Points come from activity the brand chooses to reward — buying being the obvious one, with campaigns covering the rest. What earns points, and how many, is set by the brand.
Check the balance
The account area shows the current points balance.
See where points came from
A transaction history lists what was earned and what was spent, so a shopper can reconcile a balance rather than take it on faith.
Spend points
Where a store allows it, points can be redeemed — including against an order at checkout.
Refer someone
Where referrals are enabled, a shopper has a referral code to share. Someone registering through the link carries the code into sign-up, which is what connects the referral to the referrer.
Referral links only work if used as links
The code is carried by the link. Typing the store address by hand and registering loses it, and the referral goes unrecorded.
Claim rewards
Rewards earned from campaigns appear in the account area, and can be applied to an order.
Points held during checkout
When points are being spent on an order, they are held while the order is completing rather than deducted immediately, and released if the order does not go through.
This is why a balance can briefly look lower than expected during checkout. It is reserving, not spending, and an abandoned order returns the points.
