Wallets and NFT Prizes
A per-brand feature, not a Batch platform one
This describes an optional section a brand can add to its own store. It is separate from Batch collectibles, which involve no blockchain at all — see Collectibles. Most Batch stores do not have this, and nothing here applies to them.
Some brands run a wallet section on their storefront. It connects to a shopper's existing crypto wallet, reads the NFTs held there, and can award prizes based on them.
What you can do with it
Connect a wallet
The shopper connects a wallet they already have. The store reads from it; the shopper keeps custody.
See what you hold
The section displays NFTs from the connected wallet, including items held in a kiosk, loading more as the shopper scrolls.
Win prizes
Holding qualifying NFTs can make a shopper eligible for prizes, which then behave like other rewards on the store — they can be claimed and taken to checkout.
Prizes are finite
This is the part worth understanding, because it produces a message shoppers find confusing.
A prize can be limited. Two people can reach checkout holding a claim on the same one, so the store re-checks a prize is still available when checkout begins rather than at the moment it was claimed.
If it is no longer available, the shopper is stopped and told, and offered the option to clear the cart and try later. Nobody is charged for a prize they cannot receive.
Being stopped here is correct behaviour
This check exists so two shoppers do not both pay for one prize. A shopper hitting it has not lost anything.
Why this is documented separately
Batch's own collectibles are account records with no chain behind them. This feature is a brand-specific integration with an external blockchain. Describing them in the same terms would misrepresent both — so they have separate pages, and the vocabulary is deliberately kept apart.
